The casino’s much-anticipated reopening means approximately 1,086 Team Members will return to work this week. More may follow as business levels return. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh currently employs approximately 1,320.

Rivers Casino opened on July 18, 2011. It is majority-owned by Churchill Downs Inc., and managed by its minority owner, Rush Street Gaming. The building sits above a few inches of water in a shallow pit. This was created for the casino to comply with state law, intended to legalize riverboat gambling.

Indoor dining capacity at all Rivers’ restaurants remains at 50%, per the Allegheny County Health Department and the Commonwealth. At each restaurant, alcohol is available with meals only. Restaurants’ hours of operation are subject to change, pending new orders from state or local officials.

Wheelhouse Bar & Grill — Wheelhouse Bar & Grill is the spot to catch any televised game while enjoying a delicious meal. Its hours are Monday to Thursday from 4-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

At all Rivers Casino restaurants, alcohol service ends at 11 p.m. There is no alcohol service on the casino floor. Outdoor covered seating is available outside the main front entrance for takeout meals. Masks must be worn at all times, except when eating or drinking.
